The ACR 2882 AquaLink 406 GPS PLB is a small and light self-locating 406 GPS PLB (Personal Locator Beacon) designed to carry on your side or tucked away into a carry bag. In case of emergency, simply fold up the antenna and press a single activation button to send a distress call through the SAR (Search and Rescue) Satellite System. The AquaLink has a built in GPS Sensor so that your Lat/Lon will transmit with the distress call. This system speeds up a rescue by alerting the closest appropriate rescue agency and providing them with an exact position. The super bright LED strobe will help SAR see you when they arrive to your transmitted location.
The AquaLink 406 PLB will self-test internal circuitry, battery power and GPS Acquisition. These great features and long battery life, 35hrs @ -4F degrees, makes this an extensively used unit by the US military, Coast Guard, Nato Special Forces and Arctic explorers.
