The Garmin Mobile PC with GPS 20x turns your laptop into a top of the line navigation system. The Mobile PC package includes a Garmin GPS20x antenna and the Garmin City Navigator North America NT software on DVD. The tiny 1.3”w x 1.7”h x 0.5”D GPS 20x antenna features a high sensitivity chipset for quick satellite acquisition and exceptional GPS tracking. The 3 foot cable lets you put the antenna on the dash without getting tangled in extra cable.

The Garmin Mobile PC offers the same simple to use, user interface as the Nuvi and Streetpilot portable navigation devices. With its large “Where To?” and “View Map” icons it is a snap to get navigating. The included Garmin City Navigator North America NT software features detailed Navteq mapping data for all of North America, as well as over 6 million points of interest. When you select “Where To?” the mobile PC software will allow you to input a specific address or search for a POI in a number of categories, like food and drink, lodging, bank/ATM’s, plus many more. Once you have set your destination the computer will calculate your route and begin to guide you there with on screen and verbal turn-by-turn directions. Text-to-Speech routing enables the laptop to not only announce the distance to the next turn but it will also announce the name of the street of your next turn. The Mobile PC will automatically recalculate your route if you miss a turn or stray from the calculated route. The Mobile PC with GPS 20x can even handle multiple stops, if you have a number of sales calls or addresses to go to, simply enter them in and the Mobile PC will auto sort them to the most efficient route.

Other features include integration with Microsoft Outlook allowing easy navigation to already stored contacts. Garmin’s “Where Am I?” feature provides your current position, closest address, and local emergency service contact information at the click the mouse. If you have a wireless internet connection you can connect to Garmin Online services for weather forecasts, real time hotel and fuel prices.
