The Garmin Nuvi provides you with a 3.5” color enhanced, user friendly touch screen. This Garmin Nuvi is loaded with an internal High Sensitivity GPS Receiver that will give you the most accurate and strongest satellite signal possible. The Garmin 1200 has turn by turn directions as well as text-to-speech which gives you spoken street names which will get you safely to your destination. In an unfamiliar town and need help fast? Use the “Where Am I Feature” and this GPS navigator can get you to the nearest police station, gas station, and hospital, all with the use of the touch screen.
The Garmin Nuvi has included photo navigation which allows you to upload pictures from Garmin and view them on the unit. Also available is the Public Transit Mode which will allow you to use the unit in select cities to navigate via subways, buses, and more by uploading the optional CityXplorer. Provided as a security feature to you by Garmin, is the Garmin Lock anti-theft feature allowing you to select a security code to lock the unit, so when the unit is locked only a person with the code can unlock it. Get off track, and the Garmin will automatically start to re-calculate you immediately to get you back on track and to your destination in a timely fashion.
Garmin has kept the avid GPS user in mind by adding Route Avoidance which allows you to avoid highways, tolls, and more. This innovative automotive GPS has an EcoRoute feature which will provide you with the most fuel efficient routes, tracks, and provide you with your fuel usage. Lasting up to 4 hours on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, you are able to use this unit not only for vehicle use, but as use for navigation by foot in an unfamiliar town.
