The Garmin Nuvi 750 features the same core features of the Nuvi family with an updated operation and a new slimmer design. Say goodbye to the old flip up antenna; inside the new slimmer case is a high sensitivity WAAS GPS receiver that provides unsurpassed GPS reception and tracking. Garmin has added some new features, such as a “Where’s my car?”, which marks the location of your parked car when the unit is removed from the cradle and will navigate you back to that spot at your request. One other new feature is the speed limit indicator which will show the speed limit on highways and interstates on the display. As for the display, the Nuvi 750 has a wide 4.3” touch screen that auto adjusts for night time use and is viewable in direct sunlight.
The Nuvi 750 is pre-loaded with the entire Mapsource City Navigator North America NT software. The City Navigator software features street level detail from Navteq for the entire United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, plus all of Canada. Garmin‘s City Navigator data also includes almost 6 million points of interest, with categories ranging from restaurants, hotels, ATM’s, gas stations, shopping centers, plus many more. With the data already loaded to the Nuvi 750, all you have to do is turn it on and enter the address or point of interest that you are traveling to and let the 750 guide you there. If you have more that one stop, the Nuvi 750 will accept up to 10 different stops and can automatically arrange the route in the most efficient order. The Garmin 750 will give you visual directions, plus verbal turn-by-turn guidance with text-to-speech commands. Text-to speech guidance will take the verbal directions one step further by not only announcing the distance and direction of your next turn, but also including the name of the street that you will be turning on. This helps to keep your eyes off the Nuvi 750’s superb display and on the road ahead. If you need to view the map, Garmin gives you the ability to change between the traditional overhead view and a 3-D view of the road ahead and to choose from several different Vehicle icons.
The Nuvi 750 is compatible the optional Garmin GTM-20 traffic receiver for real time traffic information from Total Traffic Network. The Total Traffic Network traffic information is transmitted through an FM broadcast to your GTM-20 receiver allowing the Nuvi 750 to use that information and route you around any delays, including traffic jams, construction, or accidents. Garmin includes a 15-month subscription of the traffic service with the purchase of a GTM 20; a subscription is required after the first 15 months..
The Total Traffic Network is available in the following cities:
The Nuvi 750 is compatible with the MSN Direct receiver. MSN Direct service offers access to Real time information on gas prices, weather conditions, traffic reports to route you around delays and construction, local movie times with ratings and movie genre, news and stock reports, and local event information for sporting events, festivals, and concerts. You also have the ability to plan trips and locate destinations using Windows Live Local on your PC with the ability to wirelessly send this information to the Nuvi 750. The MSN Direct is currently available in over 100 cities and the information is broadcast over FM frequency directly to the MSN Direct receiver. Check this link for a list of cities where MSN direct is currently available.
Just like the rest of the Nuvi Family the 750 will accept the optional Garmin Travel, Savers, and Language guides for additional travel information. Other features include a Trip log with 10,000 recorded points, user selectable QWERTY or ABC keyboard, and the Travel Kit with MP3 Player, Picture Viewer, and Currency Converter.
The Garmin Nuvi 750 has replaced the Garmin Nuvi 650.

My first chance to use the Nuvi 750 was on a short weekend getaway to the Charleston area of South Carolina. My wife and I used it for the directions to our hotel and of course shopping all over the area. I found the directions to be accurate, clear, and timely. We experimented with putting in a number of shopping destinations to create a route and from what little knowledge I have of the area, it planned and directed us in the most efficient way to our destinations. We used the 750 for restaurants and fuel as well and were never disappointed in its performance. I am going to try and borrow the 750 for another getaway, and this time try out the FM Transmitter to play some of the music I like to listen to.
