The Zumo 660 is ready to navigate your next ride right out of the box. Detailed maps for the entire United States and Canada are already installed, including those back country roads that bikers like to use. A data base of over 6 million points of interest will ensure that you can find a place to sleep, eat and do just about anything else. Select your POI’s by categories such as Lodging, Food and Drink, Shopping, emergency services, plus many more. The Nuvi 660 will guide you along with verbal turn-by-turn directions that announce the street names. You will also have the Lane assist feature with junction view as well as 3d buildings to give you real look at the road ahead.
Built solely with motorcyclist in mind, Garmin’s Zumo 660 has been tested for whatever the road throws at you. With added features like BlueTooth technology you’re able to get turn-by-turn guidance, hands-free calling, and XM capabilities all wireless and sent straight to your helmet (requires compatible helmets and phones). The Zumo also has a glove friendly 4.3” touch-screen with left-handed controls and very rugged waterproof design for any weather condition.
The Garmin Zumo also features an MP3 player that doesn’t require any special software to use and a lithium-ion battery is built in that can give you up to 5 hours of battery life. In addition, the Zumo has an SD slot for unlimited additional memory for added POI’s or MP3 files. The 660 gives you the capability to receive live traffic updates as you drive, such as accidents and construction zones using the optional GTM 12, or 20 traffic receiver.(Subscription required and only offered in selected metro areas.)
The Zumo is equipped with a high-sensitivity WAAS receiver, which will acquire and maintain a satellite signal in heavy foliage or in large metro areas where skyscrapers are present. Other unique features include a motorcycle console for trip information, which will enable the Zumo to tell you when you’re running low on gas. Garmin has also given you the ability to change the cap of the display so you can match the color to your bike.
