The Icom IC-M304 fixed mount VHF radio is small radio that is packed with features. The IC-M304 comes from the factory with Icom’s own Force 5 Audio for excellent sound from the speaker as well as a microphone that is tuned to pick up voice and reduce any background noise.
Built-in DSC capability
The DSC (Digital Selective Calling) will allow you to send an emergency distress message at the push of a button. Your data will be sent out automatically when you press the distress button. The IC-M304 has bare wires on the back of the radio to connect your GPS NMEA cables (required for DSC).
Rugged waterproof construction
With the IC-M304 you do not have to mount it in a covered area, as the radio is submersible.(Equivalent to JIS-7, submersible in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes; except cables.)
