High Resolution 72nm Range Radar with Scan Averaging Technology!

Garmin's GMR434 xHD3 radar with 4' open array offers radar detection from 20 meters up to 72 nautical miles ensuring you can see targets near and far! Whether cruising or fishing, the GMR434 4kW magnetron radar provides peace of mind by displaying crisp, high resolution picture quality on your compatible Garmin display.

With a 1.8-degree horizontal and 23-degree vertical beamwidth, the 4' open array antenna detects objects on the water and enables you to see incredible shoreline detail, precipitation, boats, buoys and other navigational aids. True echo trails display a historical "trail" of boats on the water and helps to quickly identify moving targets while the dual-range feature allows a simultaneous split screen of both close and long range targets.

The xHD3 series supports scan averaging technology which helps to filter out sea clutter and interference to enhance the detection and display of consistent targets. Angular target-size adjustments paired with pulse expansion processing optimize on-screen object shapes for better interpretation at all ranges.

The high performance 4-foot array features rotation speeds of 24 and 48 RPM providing fast redraw rates. Add the optional GMR Voltage Converter Unit to enable a 100-knot wind rating.

The GMR xHD3 series supports MARPA Target Tracking (with appropriate sensors, sold separately). MARPA target tracking allows you to track up to 30 targets to help avoid collisions. Set a safety zone with the Guard Zone feature and receive an alarm when an object enters the zone.

For Fisherman, Auto Bird Gain and bird mode preset helps mariners locate flocks of birds at the waters surface which in turn leads you to the fish! Providing a huge advantage over other fisherman and help you save fuel by not blindly searching out on the open ocean.
