Complete Autopilot Package with SmartPump V2
The Garmin Reactor 40 with SmartPump V2 offers advanced autopilot technology to boating enthusiasts that was once only available for commercial boats. The Reactor 40 autopilot series is simply the most responsive autopilot system that Garmin has ever built.
The included Garmin GHC 50 Marine Autopilot Instrument allows you to navigate with ease! The GHC 50 has an intuitive design and sunlight readable 5" touchscreen with edge-to-edge glass display, matching GPSMAP x3 and GPSMAP 8600 series displays. The high-resolution (800 x 480) WVGA display provides a top notch viewing experience in any marine conditions.
The Reactor 40 with SmartPump V2 prevents the need for estimating the correct pump size for your particular vessel. With previous models, to select the correct pump size for your vessel the dealer would need to know the total cubic inches of the steering cylinder on the boat.
The advanced solid state 9 Axis AHRS, enables you to mount the new system virtually anywhere in any orientation. The new system minimizes heading error, rudder movement and course deviation while maintaining the smooth ride that Garmin Reactor series pilots has always been known for. The Reactor Autopilot itself requires minimal commissioning and calibration after installation reducing the time from over 20 minute setup to literally less than 5 minutes in most cases.
You have full control of Garmin’s Reactor 40 when paired with one of Garmin’s compatible MFD’s. When paired with Garmin’s G3 Charts, you can enjoy features like Auto-Guidance which automatically steers GPS courses. The GHP Reactor 40 Autopilot with SmartPump utilizes a feature called Intelligent Rudder Rate Technology (IRRT), which actually slows the rudder rate when the vessel is at high speeds and speeds up rudder rate when the vessel is at lower speeds to provide optimal performance and safety in all conditions. Plus, the brushless motor prevents the risk of a rudder “hard-over” due to hardware or software issues.
The Smartpump V2 is built from corrosion resistant components including anodized aluminum and nickel plated steel parts. The name, Reactor 40, is very appropriate since it quickly reacts to sea conditions and boat speeds. Garmin’s Shadow Drive technology is part of the GHP Reactor40 V2 Autopilot with SmartPump V2, so you can rest assured you have complete control while the autopilot is engaged.
The GHP Reactor Autopilot with SmartPump v2 is built by boaters for boaters with the idea of easy-to-use as a main goal.
