Stay on Course with Furuno’s Navpilot 711C OB
When it comes to autopilots Furuno has always been a manufacturer to look at, and with the NAVPILOT 711C for Outboard Engines it is definitely one to view. The 711C for outboards comes complete with Processor, and Control unit as well as an integrated Heading Sensor. The NAVPILOT 711C/OB provides for a dual interface whether NMEA 2000 or Furuno CAN bus which would provide isolation and redundancy for safety, and of course it is NMEA 0183 compatible as well.
The NAVPILOT 711C/OB has a sunlight viewable display that will work on many vessel types. The NAVPILOT uses an adaptive or “self-learning” algorithm that starts with the first dockside setup through the last trip, that then plays a large role in keeping you on course. This technology takes into consideration a large number of parameters during navigation like: vessel speed, trim, draught, tide and wind effects, dead band (ineffectual rudder movement), weather and more. This information is stored in the system’s memory, and continually optimized to make the NAVPILOT 711C/OB more versatile.
The 711C with its adaptive technology offers you selectable Economy or Precision navigation modes providing power and fuel savings of up to 2.5% and accuracy to 18 feet. For the fisherman the NAVPILOT has a “Fishhunter” Mode, find a fish target with your FURUNO sonar/sounder or bird target with your FURUNO radar and feed it to the NAVPILOT. The NAVPILOT will activate the FishHunter mode to perform square, zigzag, circle, orbit, spiral or figure-eight maneuvers around the specified target at a user selected distance. This feature can also be used for Man Overboard (MOB). *Furuno Teleflex Linear Outboard Rudder Reference required for Fishhunter Mode. Sold Separately.
Furuno’s NAVPILOT 711C/OB, with all of its 21st century features and capabilities, is a rock solid option for the Sport Fisherman, with a center console, or the outboard cruiser, who would like a dependable and safe autopilot to make their days on the water more enjoyable.
