This compact 3” touch screened racing coach is designed specifically to provide drivers with real-time feedback and high-definition video analysis with the built-in 1440p HD camera. Garmin Clarity HDR optics capture crisp driving video in all weather conditions ensuring the playback of your day on the track is detailed and easy to understand. A detailed preloaded track database features road courses all over the world and allows drivers to create custom tracks with specific configurations tailored to their driving needs.
True Track Positioning Technology, newly enhanced within the Catalyst 2, uses built-in accelerometers gyroscopes, image processing, and a 25 Hz multi-GNSS positioning to generate your racing line on the track offering superior data. This information is sophisticated and accurate and works together with adaptive coaching which compares all of your sessions and provides immediate and adaptive suggestions to show areas that need to be improved making your next lap on the track better than the last. New to the Catalyst 2 is the intuitive Drag Racing Timer which records drag racing time and distance milestones such as 0-60 mph time, 1/8 mile, and ¼ mile times.
Through the Garmin Catalyst mobile app, performance data is interpreted so drivers spend less time analyzing and more time driving. After every driving session, the Catalyst 2 displays your top three opportunities for improvement with Automatic Interpretation with an internet connection via your compatible smartphone or tablet. Drivers can purchase a Vault Plan via the Garmin Catalyst App, to see your optimal and best lap videos from every session as these are automatically saved for drivers to review with ease. This Vault Plan also provides drivers with a detailed leaderboard to display how you perform against other drivers and their driving times. With a solid internet connection, the Catalyst app on your compatible smartphone or tablet, shows detailed performance data, animated graphs, and friend comparisons keeping you in touch with possible competition you may encounter the next time you hit the track.
Another key feature of the Garmin Catalyst Mobile app is the ability for drivers to view graphics overlaid on the high-definition video produced by the Catalyst 2 showing a track map, speed, delta time, a G-G traction circle diagram and more. These detailed videos, with an internet connection, can be shared to your social media accounts for you to share your driving performance and experience with others.
