Built with a bright 10” color touchscreen display, the R50 offers ease of use and clarity allowing you to quickly and easily view your stats and make changes on the fly, in low light or bright sunlight situations. Play virtual rounds with up to 4 players on more than 43,000* courses that offer enhanced graphics on the Home Tee Hero app (membership required) and allows you to see each player’s position and ball flight on 3D course maps on your compatible smartphone or tablet.
Each swing counts and Garmin allows users to see ball metrics with direct measurements of your ball speed and launch angles while giving as much detail as spin rates, spin axis, and more. Dial in with the R50 as it provides you with direct measurements of your club speed and angles allowing you to accurately make adjustments as you go so each continuous swing is better than before. Built-in high-speed cameras allow users to finely tune their form using a 3-camera system for precision metrics that include launch direction, face angle, attack angle, and more.
Gain the ability to train with each club you own as the training mode in your R50 will track an individual’s stats for each club used giving you the ability to obtain a shot dispersion chart based on an advanced ball flight trajectory model. This trajectory model will give users their carry distance, ball speed, club speed, and smash factor all data that’s crucial to improve your next swing. Highspeed videos produced by your Garmin R50 approach simulator offer an immediate visual to see exactly where you strike the ball with each club you use.
There are a few key features to note on this already featured filled device that we feel are just too good not to mention. A built-in barometer accurately measures atmospheric pressure to provide precise carry distances based on your location. The R50 offers up to 4 hours of battery life ensuring you get as much practice or playtime in as possible, making sure every session is a successful one. Compatible with third-party simulators, the R50 allows you to expand your playing options with the GSPro, Awesome Golf, E6 Connect and E6 Apex (both E6 devices coming soon).
Garmin Golf Membership is required for access to certain features and (sold separately) can be purchased monthly or annually. Garmin Golf allows users to take part in weekly tournaments with scoring that can be viewed on a global leaderboard through the Garmin Golf app. This membership also gives users the ability to access green contour data through the golf app or on your compatible Garmin device helping you read greens while out on the actual course (this feature is not available on the R50 device).
