Black Box VHF Radio with Built-In AIS Receiver.

The Raymarine RAY91 modular dual-station VHF radio black box is a must have for your vessel’s communication needs. Bringing a new level of power, performance, and flexibility on board, the RAY91 black box hides out of sight while the RayMic handset and remote speaker provide full radio control with crystal clear audio.

Built with an integrated AIS receiver, the RAY91 can be used to receive useful navigation and safety broadcasts from nearby AIS equipped vessels and share that data over NMEA 0183 or NMEA 2000 networks to compatible MFD’s. Nearby vessels with AIS can be easily identified by their vessel name, course, speed, CPA and other voyage information.

Equipped with a powerful 25-watt transmitter, Class D DSC functionality, as well as channel scanning, dual-watch, tri-watch, and weather alerts all are features that make this device a powerhouse of information. For GPS operation, the optional GA150 passive antenna is required and can be purchased separately. The Raymarine RAY91 system supports a position tracking feature which allows users to track up to 5 nearby DSC equipped vessels and these positions are automatically shared with your Raymarine MFD. This feature makes it easier than ever to keep up with other vessels in your fleet, keep watch on other vessels of interest, or just for added situational awareness.

Connect an optional hailing horn to your RAY91 and let the built-in loud hailer go to work. Clearly be heard on deck or communicating to nearby vessels with 30-watts of audio output and a 2-way talkback option. In foggy situations, as an added peace of mind, this system can be set to have your loudhailer set to automatically sound required fog signals for power and sailing vessels underway or at anchor. Built to last, this Raymarine transceiver is cast in solid aluminum for shock and vibration resistance and maximum heat dissipation.
