AIS Class B Transceiver with Rmax AIS Technology
Si-tex MDA-1 Class B AIS transceiver offers the safety conscious mariner, a solid option for sending and receiving MMSI and course data. It uses the Rmax AIS Technology which translates AIS messages into NMEA 0183 and 2000 so fast that the receiver on this new generation module can maintain maximum range even in very AIS busy areas. Added through either NMEA 0183 or NMEA 2000 to your chartplotter it will display the AIS transponder equipped vessels in your area on the screen of a compatible plotter.
Small in size, manufactured in marine grade plastic this Class B AIS transceiver meets the water proof standard of IPX-7. The MDA-1 can be installed almost anywhere on your boat, because it is manufactured to withstand the harshest marine environment. The SI-TEX Metadata Class B AIS Transceiver has an integrated GPS Smart Antenna system, with the option of using an external GPS Antenna if needed.
