Automatic Deploy EPIRB with NFC and RLS
The Ocean Signal rescueME EPIRB2 Category I automatic release EPIRB gives fisherman and cruisers an added sense of security each and every time they’re out on the water.
Ocean Signal engineered the EPIRB2 Cat I EPIRB with RLS and NFC with the requirements and demands of a serious boater in mind. The 72 Channel internal GPS receiver will acquire satellites quicker from a cold start and send your position to the emergency responders via the 406 MHz distress signal frequency as well as the 121.5 MHz homing beacon signal that will bring rescue personnel directly to your location. This makes it less expensive and quicker for the mariner to have a Category 1 EPIRB that is ready to work when you need it most! The Ocean Signal Cat I EPIRB's deploy in only 3-5 feet of water while other Cat I EPIRB's must be submerged to a much greater depth in order to deploy. This makes the Ocean Signal Cat I EPIRBs an ideal choice for center console boats or boats at risk of rolling.
Return Link Service (RLS) provides a visual confirmation that a distress signal has been received with a 121.5 MHz homing signal along with visible infrared strobe lights for easy target identification at night or in poor visibility situations. Rest assured that your signal has been received and help is on the way with the Blue LED Indicator Light on the top of the device.
With Near Field Communication (NFC) within one EPIRB, the rescueME EPIRB2 effectively pairs global and local rescue teams capitalizing on available rescue resources virtually anywhere in the world. NFC technology gives access to EPIRB diagnostics using your personal smartphone. When a smartphone is placed adjacent to the EPIRB, an Ocean Signal Product App automatically opens to view the beacon status information I.E., battery life, number of self-tests completed, number of GNSS tests performed, and the length of time your EPIRB has been activated. The GNSS testing can show a map view through the smartphone app pinpointing where a previous test was performed, with time and date information, how long it took your EPIRB to get a fix, and much more.
Included with every Epirb2 device is an auto release float free bracket. This category I EPRIB is an excellent choice for a wide variety of marine applications specific to both recreational and commercial vessels.
