12-Inch Network Chartplotter

The 1222 GPS Chartplotter from Garmin has a stunning 12 inch display coupled with an easy to use keypad interface with user programmable keys and multi-function control knob. With a built-in 10 HZ GPS and GLONASS internal antenna, the unit refreshes position up to 10 times per second making the movement on the screen flawless. The 1222 is also compatible with optional Panoptix Transducers.

The GPSMAP 1222 does not come preloaded with any marine charts but if you would like detailed charts you can add a Garmin G3 Vision or LakeVu G3 Ultra chart. These optional charts offer 1 foot contours and detailed charting. You can also save up to 5000 accurate waypoints and 100 routes to the GPSMAP 1222.

Garmin offers several Premium chart options for this Garmin display including Garmin Navionics Vision+ charts. Garmin Navionics Vision+ charts include both coastal and inland coverage within the region of your choice. Data is sourced from Garmin and Navionics in order to provide you with exceptional detail. These charts include 1-year of daily updates, ensuring your chart data is always current! Premium features include High Resolution Relief Shading, High Resolution Satellite Imagery, Sonar Imagery, Aerial Photography, SideScan Images and More! Garmin Navionics Vision+ charts require premium content to be downloaded post purchase. Other chart options for this unit include Garmin BlueChart G3 Vision and Garmin LakeVu Ultra charts. All premium chart options are available in the region of your choice and sold separately.

Fully Networkable, the Garmin 1222 allows the ability to network multiple displays and enables you to add a compatible radar, IP Cameras, Panoptix Sonar, and More. NMEA2000 and NMEA0183 allows for communication with autopilot, VHF radios, Weather Systems, AIS and more. Industry-standard GPX software formatting allows for easy transfer of collected waypoints.

FLIR Camera Support is another exciting feature of the 1222. All next generation M-series models and new digital models are now supported with continuous zoom support and gyro stabilization control.

The Garmin 1222 supports the Garmin inReach Mini Satellite Communicator which allows users to select from a list of preset responses to communicate with friends and family directly from your chartplotter. Garmin inReach Mini and Subscription Required.
