The Varia RTL (Radar Tail Light) gives cyclists peace of mind every time their tires hit the pavement. One Varia tail light can provide riders with multiple display options when paired with your compatible Garmin device or smartphone, or, both at the same time. A small design makes this device easier than ever to install and can be mounted on just about any bike with a vertical design that allows for better leg clearance for a more comfortable ride.
When paired with your smartphone with the Varia app, you gain increased awareness by receiving graphics with tone and vibration alerts helping you indicate the speed and position of approaching cars. This is done with the rearview radar built into your RTL515 for vehicles approaching from behind up to 153 yards (140 meters) away and superior daylight visibility allows motorists to see you up to a mile away.
Through your compatible smartphone the Varia radar system can integrate with some of your favorite apps such as Ride with GPS to overlay maps with a rearview radar alert. Up to 16 hours of battery life in a day flash mode keeps you peddling without the worry of constantly being tied to a charger.
