Garmin's GPSMAP 86sci Marine Handheld GPS with Bluechart g3 coastal maps and inReach Communication capabilities is a water resistant, floating handheld with a 3" sunlight viewable display that allows for 2-way satellite text communication and the ability to send an SOS in an emergency! The GPSMAP 86sci with inReach communication comes preloaded with Garmin Bluechart g3 maps for the coastal US and provides both Garmin and Navionics detail. If you desire additional mapping such as Topo, HuntView, Street mapping or Inland Lake coverage, simply purchase an additional Garmin map card. The single microSD card slot allows you to add additional maps from one of Garmin's extensive mapping options. While the 86sci comes preloaded with coastal coverage, Inland Lake coverage can be added with the Garmin LakeVu G3 chart. LakeVu G3 provides basic chart detail for over 18,000 US lakes throughout the US. Please note that the Garmin 86 series provides limited support of the LakeVu G3 charts. 

Included with every GPSMAP 86 series are Garmin's navigation sensors including a Digital Compass showing your heading even while standing still, Barometric Altimeter showing changes in pressure and Accelerometer showing speed.
