On Road or off, Garmin's Overlander is ready for adventure. This rugged, all terrain GPS navigator easily provides turn by turn on road guidance and can easily switch to off road navigation with preloaded topography maps for off-grid guidance in North and South America!

A bright, 7" color touchscreen display comes preloaded with both on road and off road guidance for North and South America. Designed with a drop rating of MIL-STD-810 and Dust rating of IP5X, this rugged GPS has survived drop tests of over 8 feet onto rough concrete surfaces without any damage to the case or GPS and offers protection against hazardous dust and similar fine particles like sand. Basically this means that this GPS can stand up to the test and won’t be damaged by your off road adventures! 64GB's of internal storage allows you to save waypoints and routes right to your unit while the microSD card slot allows you to add maps such as City Navigator for other areas of the world, Huntview, Bluechart and more!

On road navigation includes detailed maps for North and South America and provides Garmin Real Directions with landmark guidance (using points of interest like McDonalds as navigating points - Turn left at the McDonalds), Millions of Foursquare points of interest, TripAdvisor Ratings for said points of interest, Voice Activated Navigation (operate using your voice only), Bluetooth Calling, Speed Limit indicators (shows speed limits for most roads in the U.S and Europe) as well as Driver alerts advising of sharp curves, school zones, red light and speed cameras. It doesn’t stop there though, this all terrain GPS even provides specialized RV routing, RV parks and services, road elevations, State Border notices, Sunrise/Sunset times as well as mile marker info. This GPS even pairs with Garmin's BC35 Backup Camera so not only can you see what’s going on ahead of you, you can also keep an eye on the rear of your vehicle.

Off road navigation also comes preloaded with the Overlander with Topo maps for both North and South America and provides info such as public land boundaries and 4x4 roads. Pitch and roll gauges help your vehicle when navigating difficult terrain and even includes both a digital compass and barometric altimeter, enabling you to get and maintain accurate bearings both on and off road. Preloaded iOverlander POI's (Points of interest) as well as Ultimate Public Campgrounds ensure that when your out of cell coverage you can still find a well established, wild and dispersed campsite!

The Garmin Overlander is compatible with Garmin's PowerSwitch (Sold Separately)- a compact digital switch box that offers convenient centralized control of your vehicle's 12-volt accessories from your smartphone or Overlander. Create and control custom switch panels with customizable labels, icons, channel groups and more. Light bars, horns, air compressors, locks, BC35 Wireless Camera and more can be controlled from your Overlander with ease. Garmin's PowerSwitch app on your smartphone can also control these devices, allowing for a convenient and all-inclusive approach to your electronics setup.

Create a Garmin Explore account and simply and easily plan your next adventure, and wirelessly share to your overlander when connected to WiFi. You can even record and create routes on your overlander and wirelessly upload to your Explore account. Sync tracks, routes and waypoints between your overlander, smartphone and desktop!
