The Standard Horizon GX1400 is a 25 watt, fixed mount VHF radio and is a cost effective communication solution for any vessel. This ultra-compact radio provides an oversized full dot matrix display that is easy to read virtually anywhere. An E2O (easy to operate) icon and menu system with programmable soft keys gives each user simplified functionality.

Built with Class D DSC functionality the GX1400 allows for continuous reception of DSC functions on channel 70 even while receiving calls on the voice channels. The DSC distress function, when activated, transmits a digital MAYDAY that will provide important information such as vessel identification and Lat/Lon (when connected to an MFD) location to ensure a prompt response to your MAYDAY call.

It is crucial to have clear communication when on the water and Standard Horizon kept that in mind when designing the microphone for the GX1400. Built with Clear Voice Noise Reduction Technology, the fist mic included with your GX1400 eliminates unwanted background noise during transmission such as wind, engines, and other elements that could potentially keep you from being heard. Your Standard Horizon GX series VHF radio will come preloaded with US and Canadian marine channels as well as NOAA weather channels and alerts. Some other key features of this unit is the ability to store up to 10 favorite channels, NMEA 0183 input/output connections to connect to a compatible GPS chartplotter, and a busy LED indicator to glow green when a GPS signal is received.
